More reading…
Another book by Douglas Coupland. I appreciate the fact that this book tied together the title and the jacket photo into the story in a very nice way. This was a good thing because the jacket or cover photo is the stimulus for my selection of 70% of the books that I pick up to read. Aside from this confluence of design and artifice, the book was a quick and enjoyable read. If you are afraid of becoming a spinster, with or without cats, you will certainly be able to relate to the protagonist (and narrator). This is a very good example of first person narration working well. The story also time shifts quite often in the form of narrative flashbacks, but in this story it adds to the suspense and discovery process.
