Ok, I know I’m a little behind the times, but I never saw a single episode of The Golden Girls during it’s initial run. In fact I don’t even know when that was, I haven’t taken the brain power or time to decode the roman numerals in the credits…

Anyway, my impression is that it is some kind of time capsule for the 1980’s. I lived during the 80’s, graduated high school in ‘83, graduated from the UW in ‘88 and went to a crazy pentecostal church in the 80’s, but I never saw so much mauve, taupe or so many shoulder pads! What is the deal with the shoulder pads? Maude looks like she is ready to play middle linebacker! Actually she looks like an early version of the Vorlon in Babylon 5.

Just wondering if anyone knew if there was some secret I can’t figure out…
